Geez its good to see Collingwood on the bottom of the ladder.... looking forward to seeing how we stack up in a couple of weeks to Williamstown, who are by far the benchmark.
The Herald Sun today says he was reported by four umpires. That should be good enough to cop weeks, video or no video.
I was at the ground but a fair way from the incident. Cox was running with the flight of the ball and Street was coming the other way. I reckon it's fair to say that they were both trying to mark the ball. I felt they arrived at the ball at almost the same instant. Certainly Street had a legitimate claim to being where he was. It will be interesting to see the outcome. I imagine the tribunal will sit tonight.
Four umpires! I bet two of them didn't even see what happened! Anyway, the next 3-4 weeks will really test Williamstown's ruck depth. Scott Meyer was good at times last year, so he may be an option, which could see Barling come in for his first senior game of the season. Barling would take over from Meyer in defence. Cloke could be used, at a pinch, around the ground, but I think Gotchy will now have to devise a plan to rove to the opposition ruckmen at centre bounces.
Dale, Meyer's best ruck work is done at centre bounces where he doesn't have to put body on body with opposing ruckmen. He has a prodigious leap and is known for his spectacular spikes to the forward 50 from centre bounces. Where he sometimes struggles is ball ups around the ground where he lacks to bulk to match it with the bigger guys. At boundary throw ins he often plays off his man using closing speed to gain the tap. This is not always successful though and someone like Cloke as third man up would certainly make a difference. Jackson Barling has started to make his presence felt in the 2's and I reckon he is just about ready to play seniors if required. It all depends on the tribunal first and then the selection table on Thursday.

Pardon the obvious bias, the guys I stand with reckon Street would be odds on for the Liston he's been so dominant, does getting suspended now mean he's ineligible as in the Brownlow?
I'm sure the Roosters would be pleased to hear that!
Dale, I suspect that they may just already know as he has rucked against them in 2005,6 and 7 and their coach rucked him for a quarter in the state game when his own man (Stephenson) could not get near it.

I think Baird will be really close too. But Street has dominated this year and deserves to be favourite.
