Geelong West thirds were copping hidings in the 70s and 80s and were rated one of the worst teams ever. In recent years I cannot remember. Box Hill kicked something like 1.10 against Sunshine in 1980.

Went went wrong? The zebra's have a very strong reserves side? Must be hit with injuries maybe?

Speaking of low scores did anyone notice St.Kilda City's scoreline at 3/4 time on Saturday,0.0 against Clayton? Maybe a typo as they were on top of the ladder, anyone confirm?,does anyone know how their home ground"the Peanut Farm" got its name?

They were very few names that I could recognise in their side - David Gallagher (returning from his knee reconstruction), Melbourne first year player Jack Grimes (returning from a groin injury) and Isaac Weetra.

St Kilda City had their score wiped off the board for having an extra man on the field hence the nil score at three quarter time. Reminds me of a 1977 VFA Centenary game between Yarravile v Northcote at Yarraville Oval. Yarraville coach David Thorpe asked for a player count and as Brendan McArdle Northcote was ready to go on a stretcher another player camee on the ground. The dragons ascore was wiped off which was well over 15 goals. They ended up with 3.2 to Yarraville's 20 + goals. I was at the game and being a Northcote supporter was spewing.

And a few of those guys are on the way back from injury and pretty underdone. They may have even used a Sandringham Dragons player to top up. And a few like Teasdale and Donaldson havent been getting games for the 2s most of the year. Teasdale
