Lucky to get 5000 at that price!I sure wont be going, instead like most people apart from the clubs own supporters will be watching in on the big screen at home for free. The VFL have learnt nothing from big brother AFL in Sydney and Adelaide where they charge huge finals prices and dont get very good crowds because of it. They would have been better to charge $10 kids Free and get a half decent crowd to the GF.

i know of quite a few people who were thinking they might come along this season... one look at the price $30 bucks honestly, I'd say we will get 10 000+ but should be getting 20 000+ if it were thought through a little bit more...

Can tell you honestly I allways go to the VFL GF, but if I did not have access to Medallion or other free entry think I would just take the night off and watch on Telly. May even do that anyway with a big weekend planned. Telstra dome is not what VFL is about and think this may bite them on the bottom big time. Light beer in plastic cups - rofl whoever is there will be in the bars ! gunna look really sad on telly. :?

There will be 45000 tickets on sale at the gate on the night. Who would bother buying them now? And i think its 25 bucks, but online you pay a booking fee.

The AFL own AFL Victoria and the AFL don't need the money created from the VFL grand final. The VFL should just drop 30,000 tickets out of an aeroplane across the city. The publicity alone would be promotion enough. But that will never happen. The VFL should give every paying patron to this weeks finals and the Prelim finals a free grand final ticket. This would also entice more people through the gates in the next couple of weeks. Why can't the VFL give every VFL club 1,000 grand final tickets to distribute as they see fit to loyal members, sponsors, staff, players and family members ? All pie in the sky stuff i know, but the VFL/AFL should be doing something to promote the grand final rather than just worrying about the almighty buck !

Im really worried about this years Grand Final and what the VFL and AFL will do to promote and get numbers through the gate. These are the things Id do: * Every VFL club to distribute 500-1000 tickets * Ticket price only $15 (Seriously the AFL arnt relying on this to keep afloat) * The Footy Show must do a 5 min segmant and let people know. * Herald Sun and Age to do articles for the whole Grand Final week Id love to hear some other peoples Ideas.

This will bring the price back to fifteen bucks which is far more realistic.

We might be from the bush. but we ain't green
