I think you'll find every VFL club will get issued with a $10 off redemption voucher. I think I heard every club gets 1600 of them, so get you hands on a voucher and it will still only be $15 to get in, which is like all the other finals

Most old VFA supporters would rather stand in the outer. I hope they do not serve light beer only. Otherwise it will be the Locker Room Bar for me before the game as well as during the breaks. Probably get a group of us meeting up at the Great Western Hotel around 5pm for a few ales before venturing to Telstra 'Turd' Dome and straight to the Locker Room Bar by 6.30pm. Will the vfl GF get promoted in the daily papers leading up to it ? They will probalby need to promote it something shocking otherwise it could look ridiculous. Vouchers should be readily available to the every day supporter. The afl footy show should give it a good 10 minutes with the two coaches interviewed in the show. They should have charged no more than $10 to get in to maximise the crowd. Also it looks like Melbourne Storm will be playing at Turd Dome in the Prelim (providing they beat the Warriors Sunday) on AFL Grand Final day at Telstra 'Turd' Dome straight after the AFL Grand Final. I wonder what flow on affect it will have for crowd attendance. Big two days ahead. I will be at all three. Home on Sunday and Monday to relax and give the liver a rest.

Yes that why i go to the vfa, to stand in the outer with a HEAVY can of beer. Thier will be no heavy beer at telstra and i will have to sit in a seat. Also if your team is playing will you be able to get into the change rooms after the game,i think big boof head security goon will put pay to that. Crap give me back my footy and stop trying to turn it into something it is not Mr vfl.

The worst ever VFA GF was in 2000 at VFL Park. Light beer, poor crowd and no pub in site. They got 6,000 + to this and the day/night before they got 14,000 for the EFL Grand Finals. They also served heavy beer there. I would assume that supporters should be able to sit anywhere on the ground level and also stand if they wish. The last thing we want is to drink a watered plastic cup of light beer that is overpriced as well as security nazis spoiling the fun. They should not take the grass roots from the vfl GF. NorthPort your next poll should be the crowd estimate of the VFL GF. 5000-8000 8000- 10000 10000-12000 12000-15000 over 15000 I know Billy The Kid would pick the first option. My prediction will be between 12,000 and 15,000.

The VFL have had thousands of the $10 vouchers printed for distribution.

How much would it cost to get the thousands of vouchers printed ? Wouldn't it make sense just to charge $15 in the first place ?

I was there and the estimate was 8000+ Pretty good considering thate were ONLY a couple of busloads from Ballarat.and BTW the EFL 14,000 figure has been queried many times apparently they counted the prople twice.

If the VFL powers that be can get off their arseses and actually get some decent PR going IE:Create some controversial stories for the Footy Show, major footy Radio Stations, TV News etc (dont hold your breath) they might get to 10,000 (which BTW will still look shithouse at the Dome) but I think the high ticket price particually in harder economic times like now will put a lot of families from coming along.
