Minka, I think you're giving Teaguey a rough ride. He had a very good year and should have got a jumper in the team of the year. He should have at least been on the bench, ahead of James Byrne

Another observation is that Lowery from Frankston finished the year off sensationally and could get drafted. Still 20 yrs old I believe. Brett Lovett must have been close to be named as coach.

Lourey is 18. Super talent. Prob should have got the Fothergil-Round. Lovett would have been a good choice, but no probs with Ayres getting it, he thoroughly deserved the accolade.

I saw them play live perhaps seven times, and the difference between their best and worst (both as a team and as individuals) was vast. I agree on Byrne, but he was also playing some good footy until he broke his thumb. James Saker played some superb footy and missed out, as did Lourey. Unfortunately though it's the nature of these things that heaps of well performed players miss out.

By his own admission Teague didn't play all that well this season, although a harsh marker of his own game, injuries and juggling the coaching duties must have proved difficult in his first season in the role. I'm sure he has a lot more to offer over a season of footy and will make the team of the year when his turn comes around.

Was just having a look at the Team of the Year pic in the footy record today, two things: Adam Iacobucci, one of my favourite players in the VFL I think hes fantastic but thats an interesting coloured suit. Probably called fashion but I'm not up with all that. And Andrew Horne - where is your tie? Demetriou wouldnt have let him through the door if it was the AFL award! Its actually a rough looking pic, looks like it was taken late in the night.
