Greig OFF
Marc Greig was tonight given a Severe Reprimand and is free to play in the Grand Final. Massive plus for the Roosters.

Maybe so.His clean record from 150 games was probably a major factor.

Here come the whinging Port Melbourne supporters  You know something, I'm glad he got off, I'm not convinced he should have but he did. He's been a terrific VFL player. And to be honest if Port do win, well they can say they did it against a full strength Roosters side. I want to see the best vs the best. Port have a good advantage - 24 hours more rest. Cop that and good luck for Friday night.

If he was an AFL-listed player I might have joined in the criticism.. Greigs a terrific VFL player and hopefully they took account of his good record.

As I said in another thread, I don't think he actually did anything wrong. If you follow the path of the ball, he was trying to follow its rebound. Not a lot in it other than possibly a bit careless. Good luck to him.

Hill from the Bulldogs was sighted for a similar incident last week and was given the same result - severe reprimand. Maybe North used that as an example. What ever the defence he's off and he's a lucky lad.
hhaha what a joke this is typical of the VFL System it's know wonder people don't take ths compition serious Mark Greig must be laughing all the way home
Believe me Marc Greig is not laughing all the way home! He is however very relieved. He has played 195 TAC Cup / VFL games as well as 2 years in the Wimmera League and has never been to the tribunal. He did not deserve to miss a grand final because of a split second mistake. For those who are unaware he missed the 2000 Grand Final because he broke his leg (almost a career ending injury) in the opening minutes of the preliminary final when he collided with the goal post. Good luck to him Friday night! He deserves the chance to play.

Picken cleared as well - what do you have to do to get suspended?

Well if Picken has been cleared I want Cameron Smith from Melbourne Storm to be cleared !!!!!!!!!! My treble Port to win on Friday night, Geelong to win the afl flag, Melbourne Storm to win Friday night and follow it up the following Sunday. All into Adam Cooney for odds of $93. One down three to go.
