CARLTON smashed a Twenty20 world record score in a 137-run demolition of Geelong at Kardinia Park last night. Blues opener Evan Gulbis smashed 14 boundaries and six sixes in his unbeaten knock of 124 from 57 balls to set up their massive total of 1-264. Tim Ludeman (87 off 49) and Jeremy Brown (42 not out off 14) were also in devastating form, sending plenty of balls into the nearby Kardinia Park netball courts.
1 - 264 is a score that will be hard to beat for a while, even the way 20 - 20 cricket is evolving. I hope this one stays in the record books for a fair while to come.

Cricket has not been the same since Packer got his big ugly mitts on the game back in 1977. Cricket today is full of spoilt big headed overrated performers who are all overpaid and have all got to much to say. Glad you asked.

The aussies are on the slide big time. How does a goose like Symonds with no runs get a game where poor Brad Hodge makes plenty of runs and always misses out. McGrath, Warne and Gilchrist cannot be replaced. Watson is overated and a bighead. Hayden is arrogant and time to for him to retire. Ponting is a goose big time and not the best skipper the aussies have ever had. His runs are starting to dry up. I should have snapped the $6.50 on offer at the start of the test. How about the selectors start giving some of the vics are go ? Dead set Benny. Cricket has not been the same since Packer got his big ugly mitts on the game back in 1977.
