Yet another rain delay looks like the Vics are home. Wade another half century which will do his chances of going to England as back up keeper no harm. We all know that Haddin can bat but his keeping has been average.

I got down there today, but left when rain forced the early tea break. Shame to see the weather dictating the result.

Queensland put down a few chances today, at least 3 or 4 going to hand, only to be grassed.

Just 49 overs were possible today

Victoria reached 8/423 When play was finally called off at 6:50pm tonight.

Wade hit wicket b Laughlin 70
Wright b Laughlin 0(1)
White 84*
McKay 4*

Play is due to resume at 10:30am tomorrow more showers are forecast.

Ben Laughlin is the son of former State Cricketer and all rounder Trevor Laughlin. He also played VFA for Mordialloc in the 70s.
With two days remaining the odds of QLD winning outright would be a million to one.
The weather forecast is also bleak for the next two days.

Day 4 highlights, some good bowling and ordinary batting!

Victoria have won their 27th Sheffield Shield after the final ended in a draw at Junction Oval today.

Victoria began the day at 1/82 and added 200 runs in the 1st session to be 5/282 at lunch a lead of 592. Nick Jewell made 75, Brad Hodge 94 and Player of the Final made 60 to add to his 1st innings century.

Victoria then decided to declare their innings close and set Queensland 593 to win from 67 overs at 8.84 runs per over.

Queensland finished 1/221 when the game was called off at 5:27pm with 15 overs remaining and declared a draw.. Ryan Broad made 109. Martin Love made 104 not out in his final first class innings to finish a fantastic career in which he passed 10000 shield runs and became the 1st player to score 1000 runs in shield finals(11th appearance). Shane Harwood took the wicket fall.

It was great to be there for all 5 days and to see the Vics lift the Sheffield Shield.

Good work Robbo, huge effort from you. I know you support the Vics, so no doubt you enjoyed it. You've done well to be there all five days and watch every ball of the match!!!

Well done Robbo, and well done Vics! After making the Pura Cup finals over the past few years but not winning it, it's really good to see Victoria holding up the Sheffield Shield once again.

It more than makes up for the disappointment of the Twenty20 and One Day finals losses.
