Casey Fields lighting.

From a thread back in 2008...
The lighting at Casey Fields is being upgraded from 50 lux to 240 lux in the next few weeks.
Another poster Comeng mentioned this last night, but I found the lighting 'not great' at Casey. Has the upgrade to 240 lux gone through? In particular there were pockets of the ground that were noticeably darker than other patches.

Trying to identify players on the far wing wasn't easy, and the scoreboard shone like a beacon on the outer wing.

I thought the lighting was OK. Can't compare it to Telstra TURD Dome or MCG but not too bad for Casey. The scoreboard was one bright light and easy to read. Atmosphere was good. Also myself, Jason Borough and Tongue dropped in to Kelly's Hotel in Cranbourne before the game and probably had the best chicken parma in years.

Tongue was busy 'shitting the rest of the country' during the match.

Enjoyed the match from the wing with everyone, but onfield was scrappy and with that much of The Darkness, you expected to see a rock show.

Tongue might be in full voice watching the Storm tomorrow night.
A barrel of laughs.

The upgrade went through prior to 2 night games in 2008. The minimum standard for VFL is 200 lux, whereas for AFL it is either 400 or 500 (can't recall which at this time of night).

The MCG is 1600 or 1800 lux.
