Can we put this to bed please? The game last Saturday was a tough hard contest - I can promise you that most Sandringham v Frankston games are. It is great that this genuine rivalry still exists, even after Sandringham changes alignments.

No one at the Dolphins is "furious" with Sandringham. Even though Macguire's actions after the tackle were cheap, they were not outside the laws of the game. Much has been made of three players going to hospital, but that was just the club doctor (rightly) being precautious.

And Bryan Mace was not "squealing" about violence, he simply was quoted as saying that he couldnt remember a game where three players ended up in hospital. I cant either.

As for the 97 grand final, two sides went out to be extremely physical, and those altercations had little to do with the outcome. It was Sandringham's superior fitness that won them that match, as it did two weeks previous in the second semi final.

Were you at the 97 GF? The Frankston players no doubt egged on by their well known roughouse coach were crude and pathetic in the way they tried to upset the Zebras early in the game with dirty tactics and it brought them undone! Many a GF has been lost with a couple of stupid players going off their nuts and forgetting its a game of footy and not a street brawl.

Why is there no "head shaking" emoticon.

Then I could just add that to a reply any comments from a goose.

Ive always found it interesting that when losing an arguement people like you resort to personal abuse.

BTW Frankston FC have always been"Lions at home and Lambs away" its no wonder that you havent won a senior flag in the 43 years since you joined the VFA/VFL in
