Sandy worked pretty hard to get back into the game, but neither they nor the Bullants really impressed. Maybe it was the conditions, but the game just didn't reach the heights.
A very good game by Iacobucci, especially after half time. Saddington did what he had to and gave a real target up forward.

bullants

Great win by a depleted Bullants side; in fact I rate this win as one of our best in the past few years. The quality of the opposition is hard to judge at this stage as new alignments take time however I could still see Sandringham playing finals this year.

The Bullants hava recruited astutely and can go deep into season knowing that we have around 15 VFL listed players that can make an impact at senior level, which goes well for a finals campaign. The test will be getting the right balance once some of the injured Carlton players come back.

of the VFL listed players I thought Wes Bilney was only fair, Jarrod Bannister is starting to get back to his best form, Adam Iaccobucci is in great form playing across half-back, Jason Saddington was one of our best playing up-forward, David Boundy was fair, Shaune Austin was down on his previous form, Zac Vansittart was serviceable, Shaun Everington was good late in the second and third quarters, Nick Meese had a good game in the ruck against modest opposition and Luke Morgan was solid down back.
