If Box Hill get a home final it will be because:
1. It will most likely play an AFL Reserves team, each without a suitable venue to host a VFL final.
2. City Oval is a well appointed venue with outstanding playing surface, player facilities and (now) social amenities.
3. City Oval is a popular venue with a proven ability to attract spectators.
The real mystery here is why does Port Melbourne remain the VFL's venue of choice for the finals series? It has many, many shortcomings for finals games. Is it just to appease the ABC so they can set up there for 3 weeks and not have to relocate their OB unit? The ABC who support the competition so well that they won't broadcast the Grand Final live this year for the first time since the 1980s?
Mate you are a clown. Unusual for a North Ballarat supporter who I find are generally an intelligent bunch.
Wouldn't it be luvverly if Box Hill snuck into 4th spot and we got to play you guys in a qualifying final - and it was played at Box Hill? We might just knock you off again, like we did a few weeks back.
At least the VFL would get a decent crowd. I hear the crowd at the final played at "Eureka Stadium" last year was 6 humans, 3 cows and 2 dogs.
Dont forget the 4 tradies building the Premiership display ;)
Also you need to change your name to HAWK, cos the Mustangs are like unicorns - GAWN.
Dont forget the 4 tradies building the Premiership display
Just clarify for me, were the 4 tradies included in the official count of 6 humans or are they extra, bringing the total crowd of humans and animals to 15?
They were extras HAWK
If you asked John Hook or Peter Schwab that question you would get a shrug of the shoulders or a blank look ??
If you asked John Hook the question your head would be blasted off at the shoulders, from what I've heard the bloke is not capable of taking any criticism or feedback. He's too busy fiddling around with the rules and the fixture on a daily basis to actually worry about what supporters might think. The VFL would be a lot better without him and his useless mate Peter Schwab in charge, they're driving the competition into the ground. Speaking of the failed ex-Hawthorn coach, have a read of his rubbish editorial in the VFL Record this week. He's apparently goes to VFL regularly...have you seen Schwabby at the VFL this year? I haven't. The leadership from the top is appauling, the guys in charge of the competition do not experience the game the way the fans do and simply cannot relate to them. Everything they do lacks class, and it lacks passion and vision.
The VFL stinks, it really does. I've lost interest in it, and won't be encouraging anybody to waste their time and money going to finals or the Grand Final.

We actually had a better crowd than Casey did, they managed 1 human 3 fish and a cloud
Box Hill will get a home final by Hook or by Crook !!!
Very Clever :) And maybe very true.

Were the fish live or deep fried from the canteen? :)

We might have to ask one of our esteemed Casy friends to verify? :)
