Also you need to change your name to HAWK, cos the Mustangs are like unicorns - GAWN!

Whats next HAWK ? Home games at Glenferrie Rd ?
It's a bit disappointing that one amongst us is so bitter and twisted when most others get along quite happily with a bit of good natured banter.

Then again, when your team proudly proclaimed it would stand alone forever and then within 12 months jumped into bed with breath-taking speed with North Melbourne after Port gave them the arse, it's hardly surprising that you would have a sad and confused view of the world.
The Roosters NEVER EVER stated that they would stand alone forever.
It was always the preferred option to try and go it alone, but to salute the judge it is virtually impossibe unless you are prepared to spend plenty of money.
I think they have made the right decision.
Hard to disagree.
Sorry Digs, while North Ballarat are doing well and deservedly won the premiership last year and the minor premiership this year, by partially aligning yourselves you have sold some of your soul to North Melbourne. It might only be a small part, however it is a part.

Commie,
If the Roosters have sold their soul, what does it say about the rest.?
Would you prefer Port to play Frankston every week.
In the words of Saadi Ghazi..........?
North Ballarat will be at home if they beat Sandy this week and retain top spot.
Not sure after that but Port will be at home if they beat Willy this week. This would mean Port v Willy at Teac Oval in consecutive weeks.
Preston will finish fourth unless upset by the dolphins then it would be the winner of the Box Hill v Casey that claims fourth spot.
Geelong and the filth will be seventh and eighth and hopefully both afl teams will be knocked out in the first week of finals, especially the FILTH.
North Ballarat are no certainties to host a home final.
Unfair but a fact of life, surely they would not give Port a home final if they play the Roosters.

Must be a little bit of a touchy subject up there at Roosterland. I did not say that North Ballarat have sold their soul, I said they have sold a part of it, only a little bit, but still a bit. It comes from the current state of the comp being viewed as the AFL reserves by most AFL supporters. Ohh well, I think it could be a North Ballarat vs Port game up at North Ballarat next week if Preston kick Box Hill tomorrow, which is possible since Hawthorn is now out of the AFL finals.

Thanks for saving me from going to the wrong ground tomorrow!

I though Box Hill was playing Casey and the Bullants were travelling to Franskston......

Anyway I'm not sure what point you are trying to make. Of all the aligned teams Box Hill has relied less on it's AFL listed players than anyone. Check who are named in the best 6 every week.

Whoops that was a bit of a stuff up. All i'm saying is that now the Hawks are out of the AFL finals the Hawthorn listed players might be looking forward to mad Monday rather than playing for the VFL Hawks.

for the record the score was Williamstown 14.17.101 to Port Melbourne 13.19.97

The arch rivals also played off for the 1945 flag.
The seconds flag was fought out between Yarraville v Port Melbourne.
In the same year on October 20 Williamstown played Coburg in an end of season clash at Jubilee Oval Broken Hill.
Not sure how this popped up in the middle of this thread, but 1945 was the year Coburg went through undefeated but failed to make the GF after going out in straight sets to Willy and Port.

I would argue the Scorpions have had minimal reliance on AFL listed blokes. I don't think we have had more than 5 for the second half of the season.
