NOT IN THE SPIRIT OF THE GAME WILLIAMSTOWN

It seems as though Williamstown are up to there dirty tricks again and Im not talking about leaving dog shit on there playing surface again.

Williamstown have gone out of there way and contacted the VFL about an off the ball incident that happened last week. Toby Pinwell will not play this week and has been suspended for 1 week. No report was made on the day so Williamstown have deliberatly gone to the effort to make a player miss a finals game.
I dont think this is in the spirit of the game at all. What happened to "what happens on the field, stays on the field??? Id also call it unsportsman like.

Shame on you Williamstown I hope Preston fix you up again for the second time this season. Its appropriate that your football club holds a dog day as we all know that sums up what you are.

If you could only bottle your passion! Nice to see a person genuinely love their footy club and hate the opposition as much as you do.

Does seem a bit unsportsmanlike on the Seagulls part, but this is finals footy. You do whatever you can to gain an edge.

Williamstown doing something outside the spirit of the game at finals time? Surely not!

Just mention the words "Tony Pastore" to me if you want to get a 15 minute rant.

Not sure what you guys were doing when it happened but Pinwill was reported by a field umpire during the game and play was held up for at least a minute while he advised the players involved and awarded a free kick. It was right in the centre of the ground, in the second quarter I think.

That was the bump on Stretton, not the incident that this thread is referring to I believe.

Jeez burrabuger, "it seems as though" doesnt sound like you really know if what your saying is the case. I'm not involved at the club but if thats whats happened then i agree that its not very sportsmanlike.
You complain about it, but on this very website (which is a general VFL website) theres a forum headed "calling all Borough supporters" where there are posts hoping named Williamstown players are injured - now that's what i'd call not in the spirit of the game.
But I'm as passionate supporter as you'll get and find it hilarious that Port Melbourne supporters get so riled with Williamstown when i think of the incidents instigated by Port players over the years. Wouldnt know where to start, maybe Mick Thompson spitting on Willy players in 1984.
As for Mustang, I'll match your 15 minutes talking about racial abuse handed out to Pastore, Ghazi and Aziz back in the 1992 finals. But I guess you'll tell me that every single Mustang player that has ever played is the salt of the earth and an angel.

Be ALARMED not alert.
Williamstown are going to field one hell of a side in the finals whilst the Bulldogs are still in the running at AFL level. Be very surprised if any Willy listed player will get a game seeing the Dogs have no injuries.
I think we have seen it all before..

We might be from the bush. but we ain't green
