Great win today by Box Hill - I don't think I have ever seen a Box Hill team tackle better. Geelong couldn't get their runing game going at all and the Mustangs' attack was surprisingly potent with 36 shots on goal.

Geelong kicked the first 4 goals and the last 3 goals in junk time, in between it was 17 goals to 6 which was a fair reflection of Box Hill's dominance.

Sorry Mustang. Don't want to take anything away from Box Hill's great victory, but Geelong were pathetic.
If thats the best so called development team that they can come up with, their AFL team is in for one long drought.

We might be from the bush. but we ain't green

Could be in a bit of trouble, but there are 2 things in his favour:

1. The ball was definately in play and it was a legitimate attempt to spoil.

2. It was right in front of the umpire who saw it and called play on.

You sound like a wise man digs and, as the old saying goes, you play as well as your opponent lets you.

3 weeks ago Geelong had won 6 in a row and was hunting the double chance. No injuries at all to speak of - I think they had 17 AFL listed players today.

Mustang, they sung the theme with GUSTO in the rooms after the game.

Big match against Port coming up. Winner of that fronts the Bullants.

Joel Cross who wears number kicked a goal for Box Hill yet he was not listed in the Herld Sun goalkickers. I watched the reply of the game.
To get this wrong in a final ???

I will have a look at the official VFL website to see if they have Joel Cross amongst the goalkickers.

I could have sworn Cross kicked a goal as well ...........

Was in the 4th quarter, at the Williamstown Road end.
