WILLIAMSTOWN has let go its 2003 premiership coach Bradley Gotch.

Gotch, who has steered the Seagulls for eight years, was told last night (Thursday) that he would not be reappointed.

His two-year contract to coach Williamstown and serve in a development role at its VFL partner the Western Bulldogs expired at the end of this season.

His departure followed the Seagulls' straight-sets finals exit and preliminary final appearances in 2006-07-08.

``There's no bad blood or anything like that,'' Willy general manager Brendan Curry said.

``There's a lot of mutual respect there and we wish him the best for his future roles.’’

The former Fitzroy and St Kilda little man is a coaching stalwart of the VFA/VFL, having made the moves in more than 200 games, at Dandenong Redlegs, Springvale and Willy.

Willy assistant coaches Doug Barwick, Saade Ghazi and Andrew Gibson all resigned after the semi-final loss to Collingwood last Saturday.
