More Seagulls fly away

Scott Meyer and Tom Langlands are leaving the Gulls and have signed with Wodonga Raiders for 2010. They will join former teammate Adam Cook at the club.

Their departure from Williamstown follows the large exit of experienced players at the end of the 2008 season which included Cook, as well as Steven Greene, Jackson Barling, Murray Boyd and Kane McKenzie.

Certainly a change in the landscape down there for 2010, new coach on board and some new blood will be required.

I hear there are more seagulls to fly away but they have already been replaced with better nesters.

They've convinced Saade Ghazi, Ian Rickman, Tony Pastore and Jack Aziz to come out of retirement!!

Oops, sorry, thought you said "jesters" not "nesters". :D :D :D

I heard that Geoff 'Wally' Withers and Michael Kiker are playing for Box Hill next year. Also rumour that Keith Ralph junior is again pulling the boots for the mustangs.

vfa, I saw Wally Withers the other week when the Club hosted the 25 year reunion of the 1984 Premiership team.

When he was being interviewed by the President he revealed that he had recently made a comeback with Donvale to play with his son!

Which explains why he still looks fit enough to play for Box Hill.

Having also seen "Chops" Rickman on TV the other week, he seems to have spent much of his retirement eating lots of the food he got his nickname from.

You are on the right track Mustang, but I don't think pen has been put to paper yet. Willy players are in Qld on end of season trip. If the deal is done it won't be until they return.
