departures

just wondering if anyone could enlighten me about the recent departures at sandy?

Also backman and vice Capt. Andy Biddlecombe are the most senior players leaving.

thanks zebra, are there a lot of reserves and fringe senior players aged around 24-25 also been shown the door at sandy, will brad gilder be there in season 2010

Brad Gilder ended up playing for Carrum Downs I think in the latter part of 2009...I used to have a chat with his mother as she sat near the scoreboard at Sandy...

There is usually a fair amount of turnover from the reserve players...some go back to their original clubs...

But our reserves made the Grand Final so there was something there this year

yeah a lot of players find local football more enjoyable, looks like the number 22 is up for grabs at sandy, are the likes of ricky ferraro and kieffer smith-cameron staying on board zebraman?

I certainly hope Ricky Ferraro stays...not sure if Smith-Cameron will stay...

yeah im very suprised ricky didnt get drafted he is a very talented player, will smith-cameron just head back to his local club or test waters at another VFL club

i heard a lot of 2nds players from sandy are returning to local football, zebraman could this be confirmed?

Bit hard to tell yet...but there is usually a fair turn over of 2nds listed players...training starts on November 16th so we'll have more of an idea who is keen and who is not

Gilder played for Chelsea Heights. Was one of their best in their GF loss to St Kilda City.

Chris Worner (ex. Casey) is having a run at TBO next year I hear.
