SEVERAL delisted AFL players will be offered the opportunity to rejuvenate their careers with Geelong's VFL side next season.
The Cats will invite former Sydney midfielder Daniel O'Keefe, Western Bulldogs half-forward Guy O'Keefe - both former Geelong Falcons - Essendon rookie Bryce Carroll and Geelong rookie Bryn Weadon to take up a spot on their VFL list in 2010 after all were overlooked in this week's pre-season and rookie drafts.
Geelong's pre-season training squad, predominantly made up of local footballers, finished their first block of training under coach Dale Amos this week.
The squad also includes New South Wales youngster Brydon Coles, who Waller said wanted to test his ability in the VFL after dominating in the Sydney AFL competition in recent years.
The 20-year-old won the league's under 18 best and fairest in 2007 and this year took out the senior award - the Phelan Medal - while playing with Sydney University.
Daniel Nicholson, who played in the VAFA with University Blues and trained at Hawthorn in the lead-up to the rookie draft, is also part of the training squad.
