SATURDAY
Coburg Tigers(0-2 11th) vs Box Hill Hawks(2-0 1st) at Highgate Recreation Reserve,Craigieburn 12:30pm (ABC1 TV Delay 1pm)

Last time they met: Rd 16 2009 at Coburg. Box Hill Hawks 14-16(100) def Coburg Tigers 14-11(95).
Two teams with contrasting form. Box Hill have had 2 good wins to start the season while the Tigers have had narrow losses to the Roosters and the Dolphins. How will the Tigers come back from their unexptected loss to the Dolphins and no doubt there will be alot more changes to the team this week. Box Hill to win comfortably
My Tip: Box Hill by 40pts.
Geelong(0-2 13th) vs Frankston(1-1 10th) at Skilled Stadium 1pm
Last time they met: Rd 9 2009 at Skilled Stadium. Geelong 21-13(139)def Frankston 10-9(69).
Geelong have struggled in their opening 2 games and were beating comfortably by Box Hill. Frankston are coming off an emotionin charged victory against a strong Coburg team how will they react. Geelong have a great record against the Dolphins with Paul Kennedy playing his 100th game the Dolphins may surprise again.
My Tip: Geelong by 9pts.
Williamstown(2-0 3rd) vs Sandringham(2-0 2nd) at Burbank Oval 2pm

Last time they met: Rd 15 2009 at Sandringham. Sandringham 15-15(105) def Williamstown 11-13(79).
Sandringham had a good win over Werribee last week while Williamstown pulled away in the last quarter from Gold Coast to win by 6 goals at Broadbeach. This should be a great game but how will Williamstown react from their Gold Coast trip last week will be the big question.
My Tip: Williamstown by 2pts.
North Ballarat(2-0 4th) vs Casey Scorpions(1-1 7th) at Eureka Stadium 2pm

Last time they met: Rd 17 2009 at Morwell. North Ballarat 12-17(89) def Casey Scorpions 9-6(60).
The Scorpions were run over by the Pies in the last quarter and the Roosters outlasted the Bullants at home. North Ballarat's home record is amazing and I don't think it will be blemished here.
My Tip: North Ballarat by 35pts
Collingwood(1-1 8th) vs Bendigo Bombers (1-1 6th) at Victoria Park 2pm
Last time they met: Rd 3 2009 at Bendigo. Collingwood 13-11(89) def Bendigo Bombers 6-10(46).
The Pies outlasted the Scorpions while Bendigo finally brokwe their 25 game winning streak with a great win over the Borough. This should be an interesting affair but at home the Pies will be hard to beat.
My Tip: Collingwood by 22pts.
Werribee Tigers(0-2 14th) vs Gold Coast(0-2 12th) at Avalon Aiport Oval,Werribee 7pm

1st meeting between these 2 teams
Werribee have been totally outplayed in their 1st 2 games but take on a Gold Coast side who will make their first trip South. The Coasters gave both Port and Willy a fright at home but it is totally different playing. This should an intriguing clash but the Tigers to open their account in a tight one.
My Tip: Werribee by 5pts
SUNDAY(Anzac Day)
Port Melbourne(1-1 9th) vs Northern Bullants(1-1 5th) at TEAC Oval 2pm

Last time they met: 2009 1st Prelim Final at TEAC Oval. Northern Bullants 16-13(109) def Port Melbourne 13-10(88).
Both teams are coming off losses. The Bullants were outlast by the Roosters in Ballarat while the Borough were beaten by Bombers becoming their first victims in 25 games. These 2 sides have put on great games over the years but despite being back home the Bullants to win.
My Tip: Northern Bullants by 10pts
