Goosey sent off in Mornington loss

I wonder how he pulled up after the game?

A BLOODIED Simon Goosey was sent off in comical circumstances during a surprise comeback with Mornington on Saturday.
The 42-year-old is coaching Frankston in the VFL this season, but with the Dolphins having the bye on the weekend, he seized the opportunity to pull on the boots again.

Playing against Bonbeach, Goosey was involved in a heated exchange with Sharks ruckman Patrick Poore in the second quarter. It soon developed into a melee involving about a dozen players, and Goosey emerged ruffled with blood trickling from his nose.

Hey Digs,

I'm 48 and playing footy this season for the first time in 20 years in the Masters for Eastern Rovers. I'm definitely not bald and much older than 42. At least my comp is much slower to carry old hacks like myself.
I think Goosey is like an old boxer. He loves his footy.
Surprised he played but then again with his old club Mornington being tempting for Goosey on the vfl bye it wasn't a complete shock.

Maybe he will take all his anger out on the Gold Coast. Look out Gold Coast the Dolphins are coming to get you. I tipped the Dolphins to win next week in my VFL tips. Their form against Williamstown and Port were not too bad in the first half of each game. If they can go that bit extra win number two will be there for them.

4 goals 2 at 42 isnt a bad effort! It turns out frankston boy was right - Goosey did play this year!
