just cause you can change the name of the thread it does not mean that you should. the club is called the Bendigo Bombers. I and many others support them and quite frankly am over being called anything other than Bendigo by guys who will not even consider taking a balanced view just because it does not suit their Club.
If the club is Bendigo why is it playing at Essendon this weekend?
I've got more time for Collingwood and Geelong in the VFL because at least they are honest about what the are. Bendigo are just the Essendon reserves, say what you like but that is the truth.
Hopefully Sandringham can finish off their 2010 season in style by thrashing Essendon.

Once again uneducated. Bendigo tried many times to move the game to Bendigo but AFL Vic and Sandy said no (reported in the Bendigo press).
You are being disrespectful to a lot of people who believe in the club which is not on.
The locals are behind the club and I guess that is all that matters
I guess for outsiders like myself, I have trouble seeing that Bendigo has a real identity in this competition. I take on board what you have said thebloke, however I guess for it to seem like more of a legitimate VFL club, playing home games outside of the Bendigo area, with a side that at stages this year have had very few VFL listed players involved doesn't help the image of the club.
Also not having a list that is deep enough to have a reserves side, probably gives the impression more of a rep-side than of a club to me. Maybe thats more the angle that the Bombers are pursuing? If so, then that's fair enough.
I do commend the club on its independence with regards to the make-up of the board and staff.
But bring back the Diggers jumper.. It was one of the better modern jumpers going around!
Lets get back on topic. I can't see the Zebras winning this one. It's been a funny sort of year for the Zebs.
Come on mate get your hand off it!
The people of Bendigo couldnt give a shit about their VFL team no matter what its called. This whole exercise has been an abject failure from season one and the only reason the current team is in the finals is that it is the Essendon AFL clubs reserves. The "club" is owned 100% by Essendon FC with very little input from Bendigo which is a disgrace for our biggest regional city.Talk about lack of pride!
Still if the Essendon reserves do win some finals matches the crowds might be ok with Essendon supporters looking for something to hang their hats on after the bastard season 2010 has been for the senior AFL side.
All Essendon had to do was come out and say that they were going it alone like Geelong and Collingwood and everyone would have understood that...
But to go on with this charade re Bendigo is farcical...
The Bendigo component is nothing more than a regional supporters club of Essendon...
You can try and dress up the facts as much as you like but the VFL supporters have seen through this...the way it was done was so underhand
Sandy. The most successful club in the past 30 years
Final score today
Essendon 0.2 3.5 3.6 4.10 (34)
Sandringham 5.6 5.8 12.11 18.14 (122)
Essendon: Liddle Still Thompson James
Sandringham: Sautner 7 Tregear 3 Ferraro Nash Walsh Waller King Steven Lynch Archer
Essendon: Liddle James Duscher Papalia Masters Thompson
Sandringham: Smith Gaertner Tregear Howard Walsh Sautner
Well done Sandy today in smashing Essendon. 7 goal haul from Sautner is a good send off for him what ever you think on him.
Great to give the Essendon reserves pretenders a nice touch up.Sandy if they have any money should start looking for some experenced VFL standard players for next season now.
Going on the past two seasons the St Kilda players are never going to be much of an asset( unlike Melbourne) and the club will have to stop thinking they are going to lift them up the ladder alone without a strong VFL playing group.
I think it is important to respect The Bloke's opinion, remember that quite a number of Fitzroy supporters follow Brisbane even though there is nothing but the colours of Fitzroy in the 'merged' entity.
But for me personally, the two big issues are the non-adherence to the 12-10 rule, and the fact that the Bombers main VFL listed players are Trent Shinners, Cloke, Liddle and Skipworth etc, who I believe train at Windy Hill and were recruited by Essendon to make sure their VFL team was competitive.
Later in the season a few more genuine Bendigo players have got a go as Essendon injuries started to mount, which is good, and they have done ok to finish 5-7 after their fast 5-1 start, especially that win over Collingwood.
I have no problem with them being called the Bendigo Bombers, it is good to have some sort of pathway for players in Bendigo to try to make VFL level. But to present it as anything but Essendon's reserves with Essendon top-up players and then young Bendigo talent if there is room is just a pretence.
