Why didn't Willy wait a couple more weeks before they started the development?? Could u imagine saultry saying we will start our development next week when we have a chance of playing a home preliminary in just a matter of days? Not a chance in hell. Personally I like the traditional venues, stuff goin out to places like werribee. It's hard enough to pull a crowd without putting finals in the sticks.

It is only 20 minutes drive from Williamstown and 25 minutes from Port Melbourne over the westgate bridge and 40 minutes by train from Melbourne. So hardly the sticks I think! I think I would prefer Werribee than going out to Box Hill through traffic.I agree Willy should have left their development until after the first week of the finals to get a home final. The Westen Region League don't consider Werribee the sticks as they play their finals at the ground and probably get more crowds than a VFL final.

I'm tipping the delays were due to local councils....they have a habit of virtually zero understanding of football matters..
