While on the topic on social clubs - re. The Casey thread, I never heard how Frankston went with there facility in securing pokies and therefore vital revenue for the club to survive. Anyone know?
If you are talking about the gaming machine auction a few months ago Frankston FC got 27 machines Pre-Auction @ $36,758.00 ea for a total outlay of $992,464.00
I have all the clubs details if you want to know Iceman.
Wally that'd be handy if you could. Cheers.
I wonder who was advising Frankston FC. As I understand your mob (Willy) secured more than twice that amount in the actual auction for much less. I'm not sure if the Scorpions bought in the pre-auction or bidded.
Yep, Williamstown FC got 66 machines at auction @ $5,500.00 ea for a total outlay of $363,000.00
I'll dig out the rest & post them here if my source says it OK, not sure if this information is public knowledge or not
Casey Scorpions FC got 40 at auction @ $32,400.00 ea for a total oulay of $1,293,000.00
Thanks Wally. Could you post up what the other VFL clubs got?
How many did Sandy get?
I looks like you must have pokies to survive in todays football.Quite a lot of suburban clubs have large social clubs with plenty of pokies.

Ooops, sorry boys, the old copy & paste didn't work too well but i'm sure you can work it out ...... would appear some clubs paid well over the odds, and as for Sandy the number was NIL, zero, zilch
Maybe Sandy residents are not attracted to Pokies. The Sandringham Yacht Club and the Red Bluff Hotel (before it closed) had pokies but surrendered them
