The problem is there aren't a stack of grounds available!

Box Hill could be a chance of hosting the games because I'm fairly sure its one of only a few venues in Melbourne which is vacant!

Werribee have WRFL on Saturday, Trevor Barker has VAFA both days, Highgate is being used next Sunday, Visy Park has TAC Cup Saturday and VAFA Sunday, Frankston have MPNFL finals, Cramer St have NFL finals, Windy Hill has EDFL Finals, Burbank is out of use.

Probably leaves Robbo's suggestions as most likely.

The ground was in bad enough condition yesterday before the start of the reserves game...so by the time the Port /Box Hill game was played there were 3 games before it...no wonder the ground was in the state it was today...very few grounds would have escaped the ampunt of rain...

Whoever makes the grand final won't know themselves having a dry mudless ground at Etihad

The Roosters should demand that their game be played at Port. A bit of mud won't worry them.
The reason given why there was no home final was that finals games cannot be shifted from Port.
If it is played at Box Hill if would have a very strong SMELL about it.

I'm amazed they played the reserves game on it this morning. Surely knowing the ground was in ordinary condition as early as lunchtime yesterday they could have looked to move that game away from TEAC Oval and played it somewhere else at 10am and given Box Hill time to get to TEAC.
