Toby Pinwill's suspension

Toby was suspended last night for four games - one week on the front-on contact charge, three weeks for the strike on Liam Shiels that resulted in his dismissal.

Along with the four weeks Ben Waite received for striking in a Round 18 Reserves game, it is the heaviest suspension handed out by the VFL since August 2007.

It seems that after a period of really lenient sentencing, the VFL Tribunal is now getting serious about illegal hits.

1 week for a push that didnt hurt anyone. Soft. Very, very soft. Gary Moss got up laughing having known he got a free kick.

Should have got 4 weeks alone for the elbow...gutless act by a player that doesn't need to resort to that type of stuff

Pinwill got off very light with that elbow to the head and after our 4 times premiership player Vice Captain David Gallagher got 2 weeks for nothing compared to this.

I can tell you right now the first report should of been thrown out and the VFL are only covering there own ass.

I'v got lots of footage from VFL and AFL Level that would prove that this was is the case.

I would hope Port Melbourne appeal this and like many other people who agree the first one is not a report.

The Problem with the VFL Tribunal is they don't have the experience or the video footage to give correct decisions.

Adrian Bonnadio so called charge on Easter Wood back in round 17 2008 is worse than what Toby did but he didn't even get 1 week.

Another example 2008 Prelim hard to believe that if Williamstown beat Port that day Pickin would of been allowed to play in the Grand Final.

He didn't receive 1 week now there you have it.

Thought myself he got off light.
All the Port supporters will put heaps of spin on the decision, but at the end of the day its a bit like the Roosters playing Box Hill at home. Accept the decision & get on with it...

The topic gives the Burrough Brigade something to talk about now their season is over.

I think Port and Willy are equal on 13 Premierships each, if Willy win the GF, they will have one more than Port; that will hurt them
