Im trying to figure out how many games Phil Read played for geelong vfl side in 2007? since theirs no vfl stats site, i see he didnt play in the 2007 grand final team?
Phil Read played in Sandringham's 2006 premiership team, then decided he wanted to go surfing more than play football,so decided to go Geelong nearer the surf beaches . But do not remember how many games he played there, sorry.

Surely the Geelong football club would be able to help !!!
100% sure he signed with geelong vfl side in 2007, trying to figure out if he actually played any games. Cameron ling got him across or someting, and as Zebra mentioned above, wanted to go surfing.
Was reading an article dated may 07, saying phil read was set to line-up for geelong, couldnt play the first 4 weeks due to being given a 4 week ban from the 2006 granny.
From what ive gathered, he was named in the VFL state team that year, but withdrew because of injury, my feeling is he played a few games in may/june and missed the rest of the year with injury maybe?

We might be from the bush. but we ain't green
He was actually a very good footballer
of course when he played for West Coast he was good.
He was very good at VFL Level
just had a look at an old record from round 15 2007 Port v Geeelong and he wasn't playing in that game
are you sure he played seniors that year ?
