Port wins a classic in VFL
IT was a match that left spectators breathless, never mind the players.
The pace was nothing less than hectic, right up until the final siren to end a 36-minute final quarter at Chirnside Park on Saturday.
When it sounded Port Melbourne was five points to the good of its fierce and famous rival Williamstown, extending its run of wins to a club-record 16.
This was the jewel of the streak.
The Borough trailed by 27 points at quarter time, outscored the Seagulls 11 goals to four in the next two quarters, then withstood a late Willy charge.
