State Football back in 2012

The SANFL confirmed on the weekend the likely return of state football in 2012. After chatting with a few people at AAMI Stadium on Sunday and at the Chimney Ceremony at Thebarton yesterday.

SANFL will play the VFL in Melbourne (likely venue TEAC Oval) on either May 19 or 26 next year. This match was suppose to be on this season.

It is also believed the old 3 league rotation (VFL,SANFL,WAFL) will become a 4 league rotation (adding a team from NEAFL Northern Conference (old Qld State League)). It means there will be a state game every year.

The VFL should be able to play ANY player that has played a game in the VFL in season 2012 because that is the REAL standard of the comp!
