A good tight game, which really only opened up in the second half, with the Borough kicking 8 goals in each of the final two quarters.
The young kids for the Borough continue to impress, but the old stagers of Baird, Dwyer and Valenti outstanding.
Lots of positives with Galea reasonably well held, Bonaddio had a big impact early and looks to really be returning to top form.
Still Brewer, Bentick and Pinwill to return too!
Haven't seen today's papers, how many did Dean Galea kick in his 100th????
Port Melbourne 5.2 10.3 18.7 26.10 (166)
North Ballarat 3.3 7.8 8.9 12.10 (82)

Thanks North Port, that's a HUGE win over The Roosters, 16 goals to 5 after half-time, what's happened to them? Would have expected Galea to kick a bag in a scoreline like that ...
He was well held by a couple of defenders on most occasions, which is probably partly why Port's smalls in Dwyer and Cain were able to capitalise with 8 goals between them.
Good win to the Borough against the Roosters to be 5-0 in 2012 and congratulations to Dean Galea on his 100th game. Also it was great to catch up with Digs as well who was my guest at the president's luncheon.
Go Borough! 2012.
5-0 in 2012 & 26 games without loss since 2010
2011 Undefeated premiers & champions !!
You're the perfect host Bobby...It was a great day except for the result !!!
Great to catch up with all the Port posters.
Jason, give that bloody golf away & get to the footy.
Love the VFL grand final at Etihad Stadium.
Looks from what I have seen so far that Port could go through the season undefeated again barring a bad run of injuries.
Willy have dropped off last seasons form - the much hyped Werribee have been ordinary and Casey ,Sandy,Box Hill and Coburg havent improved enough to challenge Port with the also rans being exPreston FC/ Carlton seconds,Bendigo,Geelong seconds and Collingwood seconds.
Biggest improvers could be Frankston.Biggest fall North Ballarat.
Just goes to show what a well run standalone club like Port with plenty of money can do.
Billy,
Not sure whether Port are as good this year as last year at the minute.
Certainly doing everthing right at this stage but there is still a long long way to go.
You are right about the $$$$ impossible to win as a stand alone club without it, so it makes you wonder how the hell Frankston are going to compete without any regular income stream. Not that anyone would deny them some success.
Love the VFL grand final at Etihad Stadium.
