2012 - Round 7 - Port Melbourne v Williamstown

Probably Port Melbourne's greatest threat yet, the clash of the traditional rivals is shaping up as huge match, and going by posters thoughts, it is the game most likely to break the Borough's run of wins.

Dale Morris played in the reserves this week and would be some chance of lining up with the Seagulls next week.

Should be a decent crowd for the 2011 Grand Finalist.

Also looking forward to the next round of the Foxtel Cup providing the seagulls beat South Adelaide in 2 weeks and Port win over NT Thunder.
This will set up a great Foxtel Cup Round 2 clash between the long time rivals who have been playing each other longer than Carlton v Collingwood.

Any word on where this Foxtel Cup will be played and when if both win their Round 1 Foxtel Cup clash. This game will be hotly contested as neither club will give an inch.

The Foxtel match could be an AFL curtain raiser.

Hope not. Would rather see it as a stand alone fixture.

I'd love to see Port Melbourne get an opportunity to play at the MCG. This is a different comp to the VFL and I'm sure the players would jump at the chance. It could be the only chance most of them will ever have to get onto the G!!

FAST FACT: The average winning margin for Port Melbourne at North Port Oval this year is 89 points!

Might have to check the Foxtel Cup fixture on when the old rivals will meet if they progress to the second round of the Foxtel Cup. Will also have to check who plays at the MCG as well as Ethihad Stadium (Turd Dome) on the same day.
Stand alone game at the MCG would be great but the MCG is rarely vacant on a Saturday.
