HUNGRY, determined and ferocious ... that was Port Melbourne against the Northern Blues.
..If coach Gary Ayres ever thought his team would "get caught up in the moment" at quarter time, he hid it well.
At the end of the game, Port Melbourne had a 126-point win, its 27th victory on the trot.
The Borough are defying the critics and standing tall, week in, week out.
Port set the tone early. It took until half way through the first term for the Blues to register a score.
Woeful kick-outs, turnovers and poor disposal became a trend.

Still awaiting a response from the one eyed Carlton reserves supporter in Full Forward. Question for him did he enjoy the game on Saturday ?
Sorry mate havent had time to get on the Forum like yourself, some of us work for a living if only you knew. Try one eyed Northern ( Preston Bullants supporter ) Blues, yes great win by Port they are a great side and deserve all the press. Sorry for supporting the Northern Blues and being passionate about them, by the way Im not a Carlton supporter. Remember one thing about this competition Carlton use it as a Development competition not to win a flag and Port are a stand alone side that make an average of 1 change a week where as Northern make on average of 6 a week who players playing limited game time when returning from injury sorry if thats the truth.
How do you get any satisfaction from supporting a side that is apparently not trying to win the flag and is being used by another side who you don't support?
Ok sorry I will stop supporting them then, through development they can win a flag, last year Prelim, before that Grand Finalist make sense. Sorry I should stop supporting whats left of Preston.
Wake up Fullforward, preston are 6 foot under already, they dont exist any more, which bit dont you get.The only thing is they use cramer street for maybe 2 games a year...
Jase,
See you at North Port Oval on Saturday mate. Hoping the Willi boys can do the job on your boys and end the streak at 27,however it will be a tough game and I know the Willi boys will need a good strong start if we are any chance against your mob.
Might drop past and see gday to you during seniors game.
Cheers. :-)

You are deluding yourself very badly if you think you are still supoporting the Preston Football Club instead you are following a piss poor Carlton SECONDS.
If my club Sandringham ever went down the inglorious path that Preston FC has allowed I wouldnt cross the street to watch them.
There are many better things in life than to follow a second rate team you dont like.I think you would be better off smelling the roses and getting a real life instead of being duped by an AFL club.
Givn the comment above I'm almost tempted to say that Garry O'Sullivan has joined the company of the great unwashed, surely not! Soon they'll be saying that the stand-alone sides have an unfair advantage or is that what is being said above.
Dale Morris and Brodie Moles come back through the Devlopment League but Dylan Buckley whose a first year player comes sraight into the senior side.
AFL Victoria must change the rule that links Knights players to the Blues, its wrong they should have the choice of Blues, Collingwood, Coburg.
TAC Cup players should be free to pick whatever club they want to play for in the VFL. Willi has a excellent group of guys from Gippsland Power. Ed Carr who hopefully now can be classed a regular seniors player along with the likes of the Hector boys,Shaunie Wyatt,Dale Houghton and Nick Sing who hopefully during 2012 will get a game here and there in the seniors if they continue their good form in the development squad.

Your a tool Billy, what is different from Sandys alignment with St Kilda. Just because you still have the name Sandringham means Jack Shit. Yes I have a life and I can support who ever I want. Get ready to stay on your side on the road mate.
