Early tips
Geelong to continue good run. The cats are always hard to beat in curtain raisers.
Port Melbourne to win again over old rival in a hard fought game. Port is almost unbeatable at North Port Oval.
Box Hill to just beat Frankston who is rapidly improving.
Werribee who is up and down like a yoyo to get over the line over Coburg.
Sandringham to clobber an undermanned Bendigo.

Northern Blues to lose to the bye !

Great to see the bye just get over the line over the slimes. Got that tip right.
The bye scored early and had a 2 point break until the slimes scored their only point late in the last quarter. Bad luck Full Forward another loss to Carlton SECONDS.

Seriously any news on the Geelong v Casey clash. Heard that there was a collision in the game with some players worse for wear ? Wojcinski was involved ? Any news on this Robbo. Not surprised by the result with Mitch Brown missing for the cats and a couple of good ins for Casey. Dolphins competitive but outgunned in the end at Box Hill. Werribee looked to be in control all day and far too good for Coburg. Port Melbourne's odds for the flag could be even shorter. They were far too good for the seagulls. Port could be even better than last year. Looks like they have covered last years losses and replaced them with even a better prepared list. Some players like Burstin and Miles are playing as good as ever. I was very impressed with number 46 for Williamstown Jong. He looks like the lead singer from Hush. Was in and under the packs and a strong player. Recruited from Oakleigh Chargers via Mulgrave and Glen Waverley Hawks. He is on the dogs list. Player to watch for sure.

Four out of the five games went with the favourites. Casey would have firmed with the inclusions and Geelong drifted with Brown out. Geelong maybe was slight favourites at home. The VFL ladder is looking a bit like the NRL ladder. Port Melbourne like Melbourne Storm unbeaten and already a few games ahead plus a massive percentage break. At least the ABC has picked what looks like the most even clash for next week being Box Hill v Casey clash. Port will flog Collingwood, Sandringham should be too good for the slimes. The other two games might be much closer North Ballarat v Coburg and Frankston v Werribee.

I ventured down to Sandringham to watch Bendigo play and was greeted by the Bendigo Bombers . They were using Essendon jumpers as a clash strip I guess

Hayden Skipworth didn't really impress me at his 3/4 time address. Dropped 5-6 F bombs and seemed a bit amateur.

Myles Cook and Jackson Coleman looked good for Sandy
