WTF has happened down at Coburg? The Blues are an average side, but do get done by nearly 100 points. Geez.

Bendigo too, I thought they were a real chance in September, but they'd need to imptrove a hell of a lot.

It's an open finals race.

The more injuries Essendon get the worse Bendigo will be. Bendigo need a full squad of players. Also probably more of Geelong fielding a better team that has been in form over several weeks.
Coburg were so terrible against North Ballarat I had to lower myself and pick Carlton seconds. Frankston are hanging out for Coburg to chalk up win number two.
Amazingly before yesterday's game Casey had 11 wins and 2 losses with a moderate percentage of 103. Still wait and see with Casey come finals time but they do have Brett Lovett who has done terrific job to date. Lovett almost got Frankston to the Preliminary final a few years back but it was Callum Urch who sank the dolphins and Lovett's dream.
Port is on a bit of a downer currently. They were beaten by a more desperate team yesterday. A lot will depend on who is available come finals time. Werribee look solid with a core of North players being regulars at Werribee and fairly consistent most weeks. Port will need to finish off their games better. North Port Oval will help the borough into the Preliminary Finals. Almost unbeatable there. The seagulls improved their chance for September action immensely yesterday. The roosters are flying at the moment and could cause severe damage in finals if they can get in.
Interesting September with Port still entitled to be favourites but unlike last year will have some challengers.

Interesting that northern blues have only won 3 games for the season but 2 of them have been by about 100 points

99 points over coburg
100 points over bendigo
