Losing Pinwill is a real worry. Hopefully it's just for the one week. Shoulders can be injuries that hang around.

Good inclusions for Port. I think this is Miscittis last as the 23rd player and will now need to be amongst the 22 selected.

I'm working on Saturday, so will be checking this Page and trying for the online stream if workload permits.

It's almost the local game for you Comeng. Congratulations on the great news too. Will you be taking time off to get along to this game?

Northport Im pretty certain once the finals begin the 23rd mans previous home and away games are erased so Mascitti would be able to play a finals series as the 23rd player. But during the season each player is limited to 3 games.

Losing Pinwill isn't ideal but game time for O"Farrell and Mascitti is very important.

I am looking forward to this game. Should be a relaxing train trip out to rooster land. A lot will depend on the outcome of the Bendigo v Box Hill clash tonight. A loss to Bendigo will see the importance of this game for the roosters where a win against the borough will propel them back in the eight. North Ballarat have had quite a few losses at home this year and will find Port a tough task. With the incentive of a finals spot (providing Bendigo lose) will see the roosters jumping out of their skin. This game will go down to the wire.

I heard most of the match on Aussie Digital. Great coverage, especially during what must have been a thrilling last quarter as Port stormed home to fall short by a single point, giving Casey the top spot at the end of the H&A season.

Some concerns, lots of 50m penalties given away. Poor discipline?

North Ballarat 2.6 6.8 11.10 14.12 (96)
Port Melbourne 2.3 5.7 7.11 13.17 (95)

GOALS:
North Ballarat: McMahon 5 Black 4 Greig 2 Sewell Couch Austin
Port Melbourne: Pleming 2 Scipione 2 Bonaddio 2 Mascitti Allan Cain Burstin Valenti Bentick Skipper

BEST:
North Ballarat: Sewell Mullett McMahon Black Couch Greig
Port Melbourne: Johnston Valenti Sandilands Skipper Cain Scipione

Bonaddio had the ball going forward after marking when he played on and the siren sounded!

Bones marked the ball and did the right thing to play on as the siren sounded. He would have been too far out to score anyway. At times fiery but great contest that went down to the wire. Port looked shot but kept coming. Great end to Marc Grieg's VFL career. Has been a terrific player and players from both teams gave him a guard of honour while he got chaired off the ground. Caught up with Digs, Cobrascorer, Bobby Borough, Comeng, Station Hotel, Arab and Burraburger. Caught the train with Tongue, Mr and Mrs Black Rocker, Adam, Santa and Pat.
Great day all round finishing up with Tongue, Adam, Pat, Santa and yours truly backing the last winner at Belmont a grey horse called McScar. Paid over $12. Missed the mail that was given to me by Digs at Moonee Valley in Race 4. Too busy socialising and cost myself a $4.70 winner. Hope you cleaned up Digs.

Not me VFA. Betting on anything with four legs is got up for Dickheads.
Good touch from the Port players to line up for Marc Greig, he really appreciated it.
Looking for a few of the Port boys after the game but they were a bit scarce.

I didnt see any Port player touch an umpire mate but there was a bit of verbal between players and umpires after the siren. Couch could be looking at a late start to 2013 after collecting Noonan high with pretty firm impact. Noonan left the game with concussion in the second and didnt return.

There was talk that Pinwill and Dywer are returning next week. can anyone confirm this? Would be a massive psycholigical boost for Port.

It was a pretty amazing last quarter Northport and others who couldnt make it.
After 14 mins of the 4th the Roosters held a 29 point until Port launched a terrific comeback. There was plenty of controversal moments. Tim Allan running too far into an open goal, Pleming going forward and kicking 2 quick goals when being moved forward. There was also a passage of play when Port were down by 1 where Bonaddio looked to have taken a mark within 40m but play on was called. From the naked eye I dont think he quite held it long enough and when the ball bobbled up he couldnt take the 2nd attempt.

Plenty backed the $4.70 winner Digs, unfortunately I was not one of them. Bet there was a bit of cheering at the TAB during Race 4.
