Very courageous win against a side with 9 wins on the trot on their home deck and a side with 19 AFL listed or rookie players. The seagulls found a way to win again and now play in their seventh consecutive finals series.

Also Williamstown win the Gary Gilchrist Cup for the 2012 Club Championship for the fourth time in 5 years pipping the Casey Scorpions by 4 points,

Willy are a bit hard to work out.. could be a real danger in September. With the distraction of the Footscray season being over, they might be more settled.

They are hard to work out but having 16 Wiiliamstown listed players again has helped settle them.
Lack of height an issue and a lot of very young players.
Gutsy effort from Anton Woods in the last term, chasing after a loose ball in the Cats forward while being visibly injured, and diving into a pack forcing a ball up. Was subsequently helped from the ground and didn't come back on.

Williamstown are very hard to get right in VFL tipping. When I pick them they lose and when I don't they win. The Geelong v Williamstown game decided who came second, third and fourth in the vfl tips. One tipster would have had equal second had Geelong won but was demoted to fourth when the seagulls prevailed. The winners finished with 83 tips for the season, second was on 82, third on 81 with fourth on 80. There were five tipsters next on 79. My tipping was ordinary on 73. The final VFL tipping details will posted early next week. The winner picks up $600 which is well earnt in a field of 114.
Anyway back to the Geelong v Williamstown clash there is not much difference between the two teams with little separating them in today's clash as well as Easter Sunday at Torquay. The seagulls go far better with more vfl players rather than some feeble dogs.
