Lourey spent the majority of season 2012 injured or playing Dev League...he'd want to show a lot more than what he did this year to make an impact.Showed very little to warrant senior selection.
Simpson on the other hand is a proven performer at the highest level...should prove to be a very good signing.
Sandy. The most successful club in the past 30 years
Mick needs to be in the right situation. He is a sensitive kid. Brett Lovett knew how to press his buttons and I am hopeful the guidance and freedom Goose will give him will get him back close to his original VFL form as an 18-year-old.
Who next for Dolphins? maybe a Magpie!
He's not next, but he might very well be coming! He's from the region too which is a bonus and increases the likelihood of him signing.
Looks like the dolphins are gearing up for a big improvement and gradual climb up the ladder. They would be aiming to get into the eight next season. Not too hard to do when there are 14 teams in the comp. Thye were not too far off in 2012 and with ther influx of a few recruits they could easily improve a fair bit to at least challenge for a spot in the eight.
VFA...Frankston did finish on the bottom in 2012...so I would suggest they are still a fair way off...
of course loury will have his own office and staff to cater for his MASSIVE ego
True, but at least they are trying to strengthen their list and they should be aiming to make the finals. Winning at least six or seven games is a real possibility for the dolphins.
How many get drafted and rookied could have a big impact. With four at draft screenings and some others meetings with clubs separately there is potential to lose a handful of players. The other big factor is signing a ruckman.
The dolphins missed Russell Gabriel as Khan Haretuku did more ruck work last year and would be better off as more of a regular forward. Chance that Haretuku, Kyle Martin and possibly Osborne could be drafted. On the flip side dolphins could land some potential young guns who miss out on the original draft.
