Williamstown Signs Justin Sherman
Body:

From WFC website:

The Williamstown Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of former Brisbane Lion and Western Bulldog Justin Sherman. Justin has played 138 AFL games kicking 106 goals. His career highlights includes finishing runner up in the Brisbane Lions Best & Fairest in 2006 as well as representing Australia in the 2006 International Rules Series.

Sherman has signed a 2 year deal with Williamstown which will see him with the Seagulls until the end of the 2014 season. Whilst still hopeful of being picked in the upcoming drafts, Sherman is excited about wearing the blue and gold at Burbank Oval.

"I’m obviously still hopeful to get another chance at AFL level, but if that doesn’t occur I’m excited about playing at Williamstown. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time at Williamstown over the past two years and it was an easy decision for me to make.” Sherman stated.

“Williamstown has got a lot of talented youngsters on their list and I’m excited about the opportunity to work with them and help develop them so that they can reach their full potential as both individuals and we can achieve team success.”

Seagulls Football Manager Chris Dixon said the Club was thrilled to have Sherman on board.

“Whenever Justin has represented Williamstown he has done so with 100% commitment and enthusiasm. We’re absolutely delighted that he has committed to us over the next two years and we’re looking forward to seeing him in action.”

“Like ‘Shermo’, we’re hopeful that he may get another opportunity at AFL level, but if not we’re excited that he will be a full time VFL player at Burbank Oval.”

Sherman was one of 50 players at the first night of pre-season training last night.
