They'd have to be.
On Sunday 5 May 1985, Fred Cook kicked 6 goals for Moorabbin.
Brian Cathcart (dvc) also kicked 6.
Danny Mitrovski, Sunshine vc, kicked 4.
Apparently Moorabbin played the 1984 season at McKinnon.
Apparently Moorabbin played the 1985-1987 seasons at Bentleigh.
A bio on Fred Cook states that he kicked 2 goals for Footscray and his VFA tally is 1364 goals at the three clubs.
He played 305 VFA games.
Honest question here. Can Fred cook be inducted into the afl hall of fame?
Unlikely Cookie, There have been a lot more deserving VFA people that should be considered before Freddy.
Could well be a shoe in for some other Halls of Fame !!
We might be from the bush. but we ain't green
Don't know about that digger. I'd still love to see the great man
Back at port more. He's a legend in my eyes.
Everybody is a legend at Port Borough !!!
I think i read someehere that he doesn;t like the fan fare anymore - perhaps the reason why he doesn't come week in week out (also living 50 + k's away would not help).

Moorabbin played at Linton Street in 1983. Maurie Fields was president. (I attended Sunday 19 June. Moorabbin 30-28-208 v Yarraville 8-14-62. Umpires Budge and Casey. About 300 people there. Cold, cloudy, calm.) St Kilda charged $1000 a week for Moorabbin to have the privilege of playing on its home ground. This was unviable.
In 1984 Moorabbin played its first home games (Seconds and Firsts) at McKinnon, on Saturday 8 April. (Moorabbin 20-13-133 v Waverley 19-19-133. Umpires Barry Fitzpatrick and Peter Marshall. Sunny, mild, very strong wind. Kangaroos Seconds won.)
I'm pretty sure the McKinnon ground was only used the once. Bentleigh was apparently not available that weekend. From then, home games were at Bentleigh (as in post No 6).
I just read this. I'm assuming you wrote the weather tempreture & score in every record?
Yes cooky is sadly a hard hard man to catch it seems. It's such a shame as he has a lot to offer still to local/vfl footy.
