We decided to take the kids for a day trip to Bendigo for the Dolphins game up there. Good day out, Bendigo are playing pretty spirited footy, so Frankston's win was very handy. Very firm playing surface and a strong and fluky crosswind made accuracy difficult. Very impressed with our boys' perseverance throughout the day - and the manner in which they shut the Gold down early in the last was a sign of a confident team. Bendigo will get better and have some pretty talented footballers - think they need the locals to get behind the team a bit more though as the crowd was fairly small for a game at QEO.
On a sour note, was informed at the gate that our Frankston memberships were "not relevant here". That's the first time I've been charged full price as a visiting member at a VFL game....only $5 yes, but I thought this was a blanket rule for all clubs??
