So, I decided that I would go to the local footy and catch up with a few mates that I play lawn bowls with during the summer. Down to the Eastern Oval I went to watch the clash between Redan and East-Point in the Ballarat Football League. What I saw was a very entertaining game played in trying wet and cold conditions with Redan coming away with the victory. I had such a good time, I'm going to sign up for a membership with the Lions for season 2014. Looking forward to going to more games in the future.

Raven,
As a loyal VFL fan & resident of Ballarat I was wondering why you would not become a member of the Roosters.
Any old skeletons in the closet there ??

At the risk of this thread becoming a blog..........

Today I attended my first Redan home game. The game was nothing to write home about, Redan did get the win. At one point in the second quarter both teams had kicked one goal each, but managed to combined total of 14 behinds (a game of missed chances in the first half).

After the game, I was invited into the rooms (by one of my premiership winning bowls mates who is a stalwart at Redan) to sing the club songs. Not a bad effort form my second game as a supporter. Following that I was welcomed into the social club for a few drinks. I now consider myself a fully fledged 'Lion'.

lol - I would never commit to a ten year anything, the way life works circumstances can change at the 'drop of a hat'. Quite happy to go to the Redan games, have a few beers and live in 'the now' :)
