lol - I would never commit to a ten year anything, the way life works circumstances can change at the 'drop of a hat'. Quite happy to go to the Redan games, have a few beers and live in 'the now' :)

Redan 15.16.106 d Lake Wendouree 5.3.33 - Lakers kicked just one goal after quarter-time but Lions couldn't put them to bed until an eight goal final quarter. The ground was a little 'boggy' today due to the heavy rain in Ballarat during the week. Redan have essentially locked in a finals berth.

What I saw was a very entertaining game played in trying wet and cold conditions with Redan coming away with the victory. I had such a good time, I'm going to sign up for a membership with the Lions for season 2014. Looking forward to going to more games in the future.

Digs, are Roosters players eligible to play in the North City Team - and if so, are there any restrictions on the number of games a single player can play or how many players can play in the same game?

No Raven, Roosters players are registered with the VFL & North City players re registered Ballarat F L players.
The only exception I believe would be if the Rooster player or any other club for that matter had a player that had qualified by playing seven games during the season.
Highly unlikely.

Well done to the Redan Lions on winning the final home and away game of the season and securing second spot on the ladder (sadly, I did not make it to the game). I'll be right there cheering them on next week against Nth. Ballarat City in the qualifying final at the eastern oval...

Raven, A lot of questions need to be asked about the final six. Sunbury have deliberatly left out many good players at the weekend in order to finish 3rd.
Check out the ins next Friday for Sunbury.
The North City boys are going to be very hard to beat.

ravenxau, why support redan ? haha
watch out for the dark horses Darley & East Point.
Still think Sunbury will win GF if its a dry eastern oval.

I aim to be at Eastern Oval to again see NBC wallop Redan! (As in round 11.)

Also on Saturday, Sunbury should be much stronger than it was last weekend and be favourite over the Swans, at Darley.
On Sunday, East Point, on its home ground, are likely winners over Darley.

It is a funny finals system in the Ballarat League, where 1st plays 2nd and 3rd plays 6th, with 4th v 5th. I would have thought the team which finished third would qualify for a second chance.
