Amazing atmosphere last night. Enjoyed the singing of the Liverpool song and the chants of Liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiverpool. Reckon they should play an EPL game for premiership points at the MCG. They play an NFL Gridion game at Wembley each year.
Imagine a game between Liverpool and Man United for premiership points at the MCG ?
The MCC was packed to the rafters last night. October would be about the right month for and EPL game at the MCG.

Good idea but they wouldn;t give you the blockbuster games such as Liverpool vs Man u. It would more likely be something like Fulham vs Aston Villa or something that wont cause the english to complain too much.

Could you imagine the uproar of whinging if they took away Man U vs Liverpool from british soil - they already complain enough - do that to them and they will complain for a year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They could easily have one of the lower based teams that could gain a fortune to have a home game against a Man U or a Liverpool down under. Maybe a Villa, West Ham or Fulham playing against Liverpool, Man U or even Chelsea.
They will eventually have a EPL game for points down under. MCG would of course be top of the radar then ANZ Stadium.

I'm an Arsenal supporter and would go and see ANY EPL game played for points in Melbourne...be it Man Utd...Liverpool, West Ham, Norwich..Southampton...whoever...the game last night will certainly put Melbourne on the map as a genuine venue should the EPL go ahead with a plan to play a round overseas..

Zebraman I go for Blackburn Rovers and would go to any EPL game in Melbourne. Great for the country and even better for the City of Melbourne. Last night was amazing and the atmosphere was electric.

That would be like Pies vs Bombers ANZAC day being moved - AwFuL (Eddie McGuire) would never let it happen.
