Watched the last quarter of this game yet again on the flash new treadmills at my gym just last week, amazing finish, Phil Maylin's deliberate out-of-bounds decision cost the Vales the game & the premiership after being 6 goals up early in the last.

We left 5 minutes into the last quarter (had really only gone as the Dolphins were playing in the thirds) then heard the result as we got onto Nepean Highway.....one of the great football regrets that one :-)

I watched this game a couple of years ago & could not believe the players & personnel from both sides that had a North Melbourne involvement.
Must have another look & post some of the names.

NO.....Sorry Wal,
I got mixed up with the Werribee vs Port Melbourne grand final which was being discussed in another topic.
As my wife says "The older you get, the sillier you get".
Think she's right.

Pored over the record from the 93 GF this morning digs, the three that I mentioned above are the only North players I can identify from that game. There were a lot more Richmond & Footscray players involved.

It was more the people that became involved with North later on was that interested me Wal.
Neill Connell who was injured early, & John Lamont close to best on ground kicking 3 goals 6 points were a couple that I remember. Those 2 are still involved at North in coaching roles.
Whilst watching the game I took a few notes, but alas I can't find them.
I will dig the tape out & come up with a new list.
