Williamstown Thirds

We are attempting to contact players from 1952 to 1995 who played in the Williamstown Thirds. As part of the return to stand alone status in 2014 we want to acknowledge all who have made a significant contribution to our club's development.

Initial contact can my made through this site or the WFC will provide my direct contact details.

Also if anyone has the list of winners of the Gillon Medal for B&F in the Thirds? And the winners of the 2nd Division Medals in Thirds. Am unable to remember the name of this award.

Will try to dig some VFA annual reports and check the awards winners for those years.
Hopefully they will have some of the past winners in goalkicking awards and best and fairest in the seconds and thirds.

Seagull90 the winners of the Gillon and Gomez medallists are listed in Marc Fiddians book "The VFA".
Specifically for Willy, they won the 1st div 3rds in 1958, 1971, 1986 and 1987, oddly with Preston runner up on each occasion.

Lauschie, you're not thinking of the WFC history that was written by Mark Fiddian ( had Ron Todd on the cover) a few years back?

Thank you all for the assistance. I do have a copy of the books mentioned.........well hidden before my memory was jogged. The information in there is a great help.

The VFA Thirds was a fantastic competition for many years then fell away badly towards the end. Run imperiously by George McKenzie for many years. Good memories from my involvement with a lot of great football people around the clubs.
