As I said shop early avoid the rush & smash those magpies. A few good bumps from the first bounce.

Collingwood supporters were pretty big. They come in there droves. The whole hill was chockers. The grandstand full. All in front of the grandstand was packed! Fair crowd.

Not much food left after halt time hot dogs were sold out half way through the second.
Plus they magically increased from $4.50 to $5 for a hot dog & 50 cents extra for a burra burger from 13 days ago!

Just goes to show that unfortunately we are not going to survive without hanging off the tails of the AFL clubs

We might be from the bush. but we ain't green

I haven't seen the game yet..busting to sit down and savour what sounds like a famous victory.

Excellent TV ratings, of 51,000.

It was a truly wonderful contest, Port played very hard in the first and parts of the second, and I thought we were all but gone at 3/4 time, Collingwood with the wind and having superior fitness, but Port just refused to be beaten! I was highly impressed with both sets of players on the day.

It was an enormous crowd, but I though it was fairly evenly spread between the clubs, we certainly weren't too badly outnumbered anyway. Pies fans quite feral in places, but we gave as good as we got, much to their obvious surprise!

Go Borough!

I've just watched the game (last night). Another epic contest that despite the final margin was a lot closer than the scoreline suggested.

Julian Rowe... wow. He has been on of the best pickups in 2013. I remember him as being a bit of a fringe player at Port when he first joined the club, someone that was in and out of the side. He has been absolutely crucial this season. He was outstanding in that first quarter but was good throughout the entire game.

Danny Hughes seems to be spending more time in defence in recent weeks and seems just as capable down back.

Heath O'Farrell has been around the club for a few years now after (if memory serves) playing as a top-up player when our list was depeleted about 4 or so years ago. His goals and composure in the last quarter were telling.

Skipper and Gilmore worked well in the ruck, and wouldn't come across a more experienced ruck duo than Jolley and Hudson.

I can't think of a Port player that was down on the day. Interesting that Ryan Gale not playing in senior side this week. It might be hard to force his way back after such an even performance.

The crowd looked terrific on TV, and there was a big viewing audience as well. The atmosphere really came across well in the broadcast. I watched parts of the Werribee v Essendon game and the crowd was much smaller by comparison.

Port v Willy next week. I really hope another big crowd turns up. IF Port do get past next week, I think the club would be happy to play Geelong in the Prelim Final. Id much rather be playing them at Port than at Etihad a week later! (assuming we kept winning).

Hopefully Baird's injury heals quicker than expected.
