Player names - 1970s/80s

G'Day Guys

Wondering if anyone knows the first names of the following players?

D. Baird (Brunswick) - won Div.2 goalkicking in 1973
P. Smith (Coburg) - won Div.2 goalkicking in 1974
P. Stevenson (Camberwell) - won Div.2 goalkicking in 1981
?. Carroll (Springvale) - won Div.2 goalkicking in 1982
?. Rogerson (Waverley) - won Field Medal in 1987

Doug Baird wore glasses like Geoff Blethyn. He also coached Northcote in later years as well as playing for Carlton prior to playing for Brunswick.
Ted Carroll also played for Melbourne and kicked the ton for the vales. Peter Rogerson was a ruckman and also played for Mordialloc. Peter Stevenson was known as squeaker and was the gun full forward for Camberwell in the early 80s. He preceded Gary 'Happy' Hammond. Peter Smith I think had a run with North Melbourne prior crossing to Coburg.

VFA, Was that Peter Smith the son of Norm Smith ??
I think Norm's son Peter played with Carlton also ???

Peter Smith, son of the legendary Norm Smith, played for Melbourne and Carlton. Melbourne 1966-67, 23 games, 23 goals. Carlton 1968-70, 15 games, 10 goals. Born 22 September 1947. 183cms, 87 kgs.
Another Peter Smith played for North Melbourne and Brisbane in 1980s.

Thanks for all this info, guys. I didn't see a VFA match until 1987 so I'm enjoying learning about all these great old VFA names.
