I think it's a pretty bad look for Coburg that they haven't announced their new coach by now.

A couple of weeks ago players at a variety of clubs were indicating that were looking to move on (to another club or league) and without a coach in place, that makes it harder to talk players around into joining your club.

The Burgers need to extract the digit... pronto!

Lets hope the Burgers can make a go of it,they have a proud history in the vfa and vfl,and have produced many fine players, who could forget the games when Phil was playing and coaching with everyone trying to put him out of business, but he was to smart for them most of the time, would be a great shame to not see them in the comp, maybe a sign of the times, but at least they can be their own men,and not be told be the tigers or whoever what they can do or not do,good luck to their great band of workers.

I'm looking forward to being able to watch the Coburg Lions in action again next year.

However they go it will be great to be able to follow them again after their involvement with Richmond meant i couldn't for years. As a Carlton supporter i found i couldn't switch allegiances to Preston either so i just switched off the competition altogether.

I was born and bred in Coburg and loved watching them for many, many years, just so happy to have my club back.

Go burgers!

And Mustang Happy to have a crack again. since when were you there treasurer? Please tell us their current financial status and your source please.
Please tell us your source as to no development side.
Did John Hook tell you that Coburg will not be in the competition in 2014 because you had better notify the club and advise us all of who the liquidator will be.
You sir are a scurrilous keyboard warrior making things up with no knowledge or information at all. In my world we call that a big bullshit artist.
Fact 1. direct from the GM they do not owe one cent and are very secure with increased revenues through sponsorship set to rise due to the non-alignment.
2. Fact Definitely development and there was NO discussion as to not.
3. Fact will have over 100 players at pre season, and going from what I have been told directly from the powerbrokers and committee they are not going to have a "soft opening".
And Digs stop believing what you think because you are wrong.
This site should be used to encourage the competition not to be scaremongering and bullshiting about your fellow competitor because if we loose one we become weaker.
Ask yourself this mustang, how would Box Hill go without Hawthorn pumping in the cash?

Have belief for the path to victory has been well worn however seldom do we arrive at the destination.

Big Jabba,
Unsure what I was wrong about, but if it relates to no development team at Coburg, well all I can tell you is that it was being considered.
