What's going on at the Borough. Three board members resign.

Strong rumours from Friday's B&F that three board members have resigned.

No one seems to know the reason, but I believe two of them were Glen Robertson and Martin Stillman.

Does anyone here know of the circumstances, and could it be related to some of the departures from the playing group?

Great question - also nobody has questioned why players are departing. Quality players that can play in the starting 18 next year and beyond.

37 times Grand finalists
16 times premiers
21 times runners up - THE MIGHTY BOROUGH!

I'M PORT MELBURNE BORN,
I'M PORT MELBOURNE BRED,
I'LL BE PORT UNTIL I'M DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe John Baird may have referred to the matter during the B&F night.

Not good to hear rumors of board resignations and player unrest at a VFL club. Hope differences can be patched up quickly

Port Melbourne premiership ruckman Wayde Skipper has retired from the #PJVFL. Was a mighty player for the Borough; will be hard to replace

Another massive loss on-field. Skipper has been fantastic for the Borough during his time at the club. He is going to very very difficult to replace and his departure might expose the young ruck brigade at Port in 2014. Congratulations on a great career.

Rumour is that the board has divided neatly into the pro-Ayres and anti-Ayres camps. Any truth to this?

Also hearing that there may be a few financial concerns due to a cost blowout with the ground redevelopment.

Some huge losses for the borough next year. They would want to develop some good kids as well as pick up a couple of experienced players that have been either delisted or overlooked in the draft. This is of course without lashing out big dollars.
Could be very interesting season in 2014.

Agree NorthPort,
Wayde Skipper has been a great warrior for Port & I still believe he was Port's best player in their premiership grand final. Players of that calibre & durability don't come around very often & he will be very difficult to replace.
Wish him all the best.

We might be from the bush. but we ain't green

Also heard that several senior Sandringham players are following Marcus Marigliani over to Port Melbourne.
