Sunday 15th December at 11am.
I'd encourage all members to attend as I believe there will be an election for the board with several new nominations. Also we will hopefully hear more about the redevelopment and recruiting.
Just read this years Annual General Report. I must say that the club has done very well in addressing many of the concerns supporters had, by outlining the clubs Values and Mission Statement in the publication.
There has been a lot of off-season rumblings, particularly in September/October but the club looks to be on the right track.
I loathe "Mission Statements" more than Dig's hate of "conference"
Nevertheless Blackrocker, professional football clubs need to be run with elements of business mentality.
For a member-based organization these sort of things are important.
As a member in the last few years I would never have known what the clubs objectives were.
the only objective is to win Premierships I would have thought??
Football Clubs don't really need Mission Statements when the ultimate objective is pretty clear
Sandy. The most successful club in the past 30 years
Im with you all clubs need to do is stay solvent and win flags thats what supporters want "Mission Statements" are just mumbo jumbo bullshit written by people with too much time on their hands.
Well I think we need local juniors, to build a club culture beyond the development side and that should be a 3-5 year goal.
Same culture Rocker.
Telstra rammed them down our throats for 20 years.
Do you think the boys on the can bar pocket at Port worry about mission statements. ??
We might be from the bush. but we ain't green
Good comprehensive report although a little drawn out.
Disappointed there was no balance sheet.
Just loved the old ground photo on the front cover taken around 1939.
Looked very much to me like it was taken yesterday.
If you look closely you can see Peter Saultry's dog taking a leak outside Garrry's office.
Have there been any improvements since 1939 ??
Massive lot of stuff. Whizzed through, saw Brekky DJ mentioned three times. Look forward to getting blasted by LOUD PA last round, 2014!
What, no reports about the AGM?
